Who am I?

My name is Jaime and I live in Canada.  I am in the stride of my life, I guess is what most people would say.  I am on the presupus of adulthood; I have a glimpse of the responsibility that life requires, but I am still holding on to the hope that my dreams will become reality.  I am a few months away from marriage and moving out of my parents house and a couple weeks ago I quit my decent but dead end job to see if I can cut out a life for myself of my own design.

I studied Holistic Nutrition and am hoping to make something of it.  I used to be a personal trainer but I had to let it go because I just was not comfortable with focus on financial gain, that isn’t what the industry should be about.  It is supposed to be about all encompassing wellness, not making people feel so guilty about not offering up their money that they are in tears.  I thought starting a wellness blog would be a great way to side step all of that and get my information out there to the people that are looking to make a positive change in their life, regardless of their financial status.

This is not that blog.

When I was a teenager I loved writing.  I would kept a journal, I wrote lyrics, I wrote poetry, and I wrote stories; just because.  I am using this blog to tap back into my stream of creative thought and immerse myself in writing.  Here you will find reflections about my life, critiques of culture and politics, entries about travel, poetry, maybe even some nonsensical ramblings.  Whatever comes to my mind, I suppose.

I should hope that you enjoy reading what I have to say, and I guess to some extent I do, but that really isn’t the point of this whole thing.

So let us begin, shall we?
